I grew up as a 4 sport athlete in small town Iowa playing baseball, football, basketball, and track all throughout high school. After high school I played one season of football as a running back at Wartburg College. Following that season I transferred to Winona State University in Minnesota where I was a strength and conditioning coach for three years during my undergrad. After that, I spent some time at Clemson University, UNC Chapel Hill, and West Virginia University working with 23 different sports but specializing in baseball, softball, and sport science efforts. I was also the director at two different high schools for some time during that stretch. This all led me to Fort Bragg as a contracted strength and conditioning coach with the 82nd Airborne, leading the physical training of over 250 soldiers for two years.
