Hunter was born in Charleston, West Virginia. After a brief stop in New York, his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina when he was 6. It was there that he developed a love and passion for baseball. When he was 9, he started playing travel ball religiously with the Wilmington Braves. For high school, he attended Hoggard in Wilmington where he was a captain and an all-conference selection his senior year as an infielder. Then he went on to attend NC State and graduated with a degree in business and a Master’s in sports management. After spending a few years in Nashville, Tennessee working for several different sports organizations he decided it was time to return home. He has always wanted to get into coaching and looks forward to working with the players and helping them improve their game.

Playing Experience:

After graduating from Legend High School in 2019, I played two years at Cloud County Community College (NJCAA DI) in Concordia, KS, from 2020 to 2021. Following my tenure at the junior college level, I went on to finish my career at Regis University (NCAA DII) in Denver, CO, from 2022 to 2023. At each of these successful college programs, I played a pivotal role out of the bullpen as a RHP.

Coaching Experience:

After my career, I coached collegiately as a Graduate Assistant at Regis University for the 2023-2024 season. I worked mostly with the pitching staff and focused on player development with the use of analytics. During the season, I helped lead the team to the third most wins in program history (32) and just their third NCAA Regional Tournament appearance in program history.
