Hi, My name is Derrick Loveless. I am originally from Solon, IA, where I was drafted in the 27th round by the Toronto Blue Jays out of Solon High School in 2011. I had committed to the University of Iowa to play D1 baseball and football, but decided to start my professional career instead. I spent seven years in the minor leagues, making it up to AA-New Hampshire for two years in a row with the Blue Jays organization before becoming a free agent in 2017. I then spent one year in independent baseball, playing for the Normal Cornbelters (then in the Frontier League). I have always loved to work with athletes who are seeking to better themselves in baseball. When working with young hitters, I look to not only improve their mechanics, but also talk with them about the mental side of baseball, which is equally important when it comes to having success. I look forward to sharing substantive tips and advice with you that I have learned throughout my career.
